Business Research Certificate Program Fall 2013

The Sterne Library is excited to once again offer the Award Winning Business Research Certificate Program during the fall 2013 term. The program will introduce you to business resources and research strategies.  It is open to ALL current UAB students, faculty, and staff.

Wondering if the program is for you?  Here is what 2 former students had to say:

Amanda Horsley, Marketing 2013
Completed program in spring 2012

“The BRCP is a unique learning experience that provides instant benefits. I acquired valuable research skills that have already helped me in my classes!  I am amazed at the amount of information available, and because of this program I know how to find it quickly.”

Brittany Fair, Management 2013
Completed program in spring 2012

“This program has offered me resources that I can actually use in the real world – not only for work related purposes but also for everyday purposes.

I understand that individuals might be hesitant to enroll in the program because I was, but the Business Research Certificate Program was a great investment.  I encourage everyone to participate because it shows you ways to think efficiently.”

How does it work? The program consists of eight 50 minute sessions. Each session will be offered twice during the spring 2013 term and again during the fall 2013 term.

To successfully complete the program and receive the Business Research Certificate, you must attend at least 6 sessions (either in the fall or spring term). If you completed any sessions during the fall 2012 term, they will be counted toward your total this spring.

When does class meet?  Each session is offered 2 times each week to accommodate students’ varying schedules.  The class will meet in Room 163 of the Sterne Library from 10:00 a.m. until 10:50 a.m.  The session will be repeated at 3:30 p.m. until 4:20 p.m. each day.  You may attend the session that best fits your schedule for the week.  We will meet on the followings days to cover these topics:
